Pet Dental Care
Dental care plays a major role in your pet’s overall health
Your pet’s dental health is an important part of their overall wellbeing. Poor dental health is extremely common in companion animals even though it’s also one of the most preventable conditions we see in our pet clinic. During your pet’s regular wellness exam, the veterinarian will take a look at the quality of their teeth and gums to determine if there are concerning symptoms. You may actually know one of the first signs of periodontal disease: bad breath! Your pet may require a dental cleaning to address a buildup of plaque and gum disease. Each of our dental cleaning patients also has dental radiographs taken as needed to fully evaluate their condition. We are much more likely to find any hidden problems, such as tooth root abscess, broken tooth roots, resorbed roots and other painful issues.
