November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month!

Did you know cancer is one of the leading causes of death in domestic dogs and cats?

Here are some ways you can help detect cancer:

#1 Attend annual exams and vet visits

#2 Monitor your pet for changes in daily routine or behavior, and for any new lumps or bumps.

#3 Routine diagnostics such as; bloodwork, x-rays & FNA’s (fine needle aspirates) can be done for early detection and/or diagnosis

Fine needle aspirates are a procedure in which doctors will take a sample from a lump or bump, and look at the cells of the material collected under microscope. 🦠
Pictured below are cells of a mast cell tumor our doctor sampled and diagnosed.
For the rest of the month of November, we would like to offer 20% off FNA’s. If you all are noticing any new friends on your pets, now is your time to come in and get them checked out! See you all at the clinic. 🐶

Dental Care

Your pet’s dental health is an important part of their overall wellbeing. Poor dental health is extremely common in companion animals even though it’s also one of the most preventable conditions we see in our pet clinic.

Spay & Neuter

Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the most important parts of being a responsible owner. It can not only help ensure a loving home for every animal in our community, but also a healthy and happy future for your own companion.

Dermatology

Have you ever struggled with allergies, itchy skin or other skin-related issues? Our pets can experience similar problems — and the discomfort that comes with them.

Compassionate Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is one of the most difficult parts of being a pet owner. Our staff can evaluate your pet's quality of life and advise of potential treatments to improve or maintain your pet's health.
