Dr. Sasha Huston

Dr. Sasha earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in May 2012. She worked as an associate veterinarian in both Florida and Georgia. It has always been her dream to open her own small clinic, where she could provide the best, most compassionate, personable care for her clients and patients.

Dr. Sasha grew up in Russia until the age of 16. Her dream of becoming a veterinarian was clear when she had her first pet, a poodle named Zhuck. He was the best companion and taught Sasha so much about dogs. She was also fortunate that every summer her parents took the family for long visits to the country to enjoy some fresh air and have even more exposure to both wild and domestic creatures. Some of her happiest days were spent there, watching her dog play at the beach, chasing birds and swimming in the river. It is Dr. Sasha's passion to make sure that all of her clients have as many Sandy Paws Days with their beloved pets as possible! We look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Working at Sandy Paws has been an incredibly pawsitive experience in my life. Transitioning from a 30-year career in another profession, I joined the Sandy PAWS team three years ago, and it's been a rewarding journey ever since.

Being a part of this small yet vibrant community brings me immense joy. From the moment I book our clients and their furry companions' first appointments to witnessing their growth and development, every interaction is special to me. I take pride in getting to know each pet, from their first weigh-in to capturing their first picture for our records.

One of the greatest joys of my job is watching puppies and kittens grow into happy, healthy adults and seeing senior pets thrive with the help of the incredible medications and care available today. As someone who cherishes the memories of having pets by my side, I understand the profound impact they have on our lives.

Working in this profession is not without its challenges, but the joys far outweigh the tears. I'm filled with gratitude for the dedication that Dr. Sasha and the wonderful technicians who pour their love and passion into their work every day. It's truly a privilege to be a part of a team that cares deeply for the well-being of our furry friends.

Ashley Duncan

Ashley is originally a Northeast Georgia native. She went to college locally and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts in 2015. After moving to Marietta, she married her highschool sweetheart, Jack, and they rescued a golden retriever named Lola who changed their life. Ashley decided to follow her childhood dreams and pursue a career in working with animals. She started as a kennel assistant in 2018 and started learning as much as she could. Now, Ashley has advanced in the field and is now a veterinary assistant. In addition to Lola, Ashley has three cats: Ned, Wednesday, and Ciri who very much run the house. She may not work in restaurants anymore but she still loves to cook. And don't let the tattoos fool you, she is a grandma at heart and loves to stay at home and craft on the weekends.University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Master of Veterinary Science
