Sasha Huston
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Sasha Huston, the heart and soul behind Sandy Paws, has always been driven by her passion for animals and the human-animal bond. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in May 2012, Dr. Sasha honed her skills as an associate veterinarian in Florida and Georgia before realizing her dream of opening a small, compassionate clinic where she could offer personalized, top-quality care to both pets and their owners.
Originally from Russia, Dr. Sasha’s love for animals began at a young age. Her first pet, a poodle named Zhuck, sparked her lifelong passion for veterinary care, teaching her the deep bond that can form between humans and animals. Spending summers with her family in the countryside, she grew to love the peaceful connection with nature, watching Zhuck joyfully chase birds and swim in the river. Those “Sandy Paws Days” on the beach have stayed with her, and it is Dr. Sasha’s mission to make sure every client experiences that same joy and bond with their pets. She is committed to offering the highest quality care, ensuring pets and their families can continue to share these precious moments for many years to come.

Sydney Brown
Technician
Sydney Brown’s journey at Sandy Paws has been both fun and educational. Growing up with a miniature schnauzer named Sadie, Sydney developed a deep connection with animals that inspired her career. After years of working in socialization-based dog walks, boarding, and daycare, she welcomed a new chapter in 2022 when she joined Sandy Paws. The clinic’s routine schedule allows her to continue making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with her family. Sydney loves seeing everything from routine wellness visits to watching patients recover from illness, and she feels honored to be a voice for animals and a support system for their humans. Dr. Sasha and the other technicians at Sandy Paws have taught her all she knows about veterinary medicine, and she is excited to continue learning and growing in this community-focused environment.
